Yana Gorelik

Yana Gorelik’s paintings inhabit a space between dream and memory.

Born in Saint Petersburg and raised in Israel, she carries the atmosphere of two worlds within her. Misty northern skies, winter light, and the quiet poetry of childhood memories merge with the warmth and luminosity of the Mediterranean.

Each painting begins with a search for a gaze, an expression, a feeling. Through an intuitive process of painting, erasing, and reworking, Yana gradually reveals the emotion at the heart of each composition.

Her contemplative female figures emerge between reality and imagination, surrounded by flowing ornaments, symbolic motifs, and fragments of dreams.

In dialogue with Gustav Klimt, Yana draws inspiration from his celebration of the human spirit and the expressive power of beauty. Like Klimt, she creates timeless spaces where beauty becomes a language of emotion, hope, and wonder.

Through her work, Yana invites us to slow down and enter a world of stillness, where tenderness, beauty, and the fragile magic of being human endure.
