Edlen Lavan
Edlen Lavan is an artist who explores the mechanisms of attention, recognition, and cultural memory.
Moving between the worlds of communication, art, and cultural institutions, she poses a timeless question: why do some names become part of history while others remain unnoticed?
In Joy of Missing Out, presented in collaboration with JOMO Museum at Fresh Paint 2026, Lavan enters into a symbolic dialogue with Andy Warhol, one of the first artists to transform attention into a form of cultural currency.
Her Network series explores the invisible connections, reputations, and social networks that shape the art world. Bold forms and metallic structures create a space between attraction and restriction, success and exclusion.
Alongside this exploration emerges another story: the story of beauty that exists independently of recognition. It is within this space between visibility and obscurity, fame and silence, that Edlen Lavan’s artistic language takes shape.
