Nikolay Sokolov

Nikolay Sokolov is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Born in 1946 in Yaroslavl (Russia). His mosaics, panels and stained-glass windows can be seen in Kyiv, Alushta, Ivano-Frankivsk and Novosibirsk. Since 1966, Nikolai has taken part in exhibitions in Ukraine, the countries of the former USSR and the world, as well as the author of many exhibitions in Kyiv. Two solo exhibitions were held in Israel in 2022
His work is in the Los Angeles Art Center, as well as in private collections in Austria, Australia, England, Germany, France, Israel, Italy, Holland, Canada, Finland, South Africa and Japan.
“For me, painting is not arithmetic or logic. I do not accept the concept of "intellectual painting". For me, it's just the relationship between flowers, as well as freedom and celebration. What matters to me is not what I draw, but rather the imaginary state of it. Portrait and image - are not the same.”
